This abstract, geometric, gold wall sculpture is by Finnish artist, Agneta Hobin. Zuni is a reflection of her travels to Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico. Though Hobin drew inspiration from the Zuni, she conveyed her appreciation for such a special place by using a gilding technique (gold-leaf on wood) traditionally used to create icons. Video of this piece is available upon request..

Artist Statement : "It has become more and more important for me, as an artist from Finland, to experience the northern atmosphere and its essential elements. Frost, snow and ice transform nature into a unique world of light and structure. For some time I have been working with yellow mica trying to solve the mystery of northern elements. The potential of this material seems endless." -- Agneta Hobin
